Planned deletion routes
At launch, players will be able to request deletion from inside the game and through an official web route published on this page. The exact in-game menu path and web form will be inserted only after they have been tested on the release build.
What deletion will cover
- The game account identifier and profile.
- Cloud saves, progress, settings, and synchronization records.
- Gameplay history that is not required for a legal, security, or fraud-prevention purpose.
- Optional communications preferences associated with the account.
What may be retained for a limited period
The final page will state the exact exceptions and periods. Expected categories include transaction records held by app stores or payment providers, security and fraud-prevention logs, legal records, and encrypted backups that expire on a defined cycle.
Identity verification
Before deletion, ESTUA may need to verify that the request comes from the account holder. The final process will request the least information needed for that verification and will never ask for a password by email.
Effect of deletion
Deletion will be described as permanent in the final text if the released system cannot restore the account. The page will state whether purchases, entitlements, local progress, and cloud progress are removed, and will warn the player before confirmation.
